I think to create a team with lets say 2-3 (or make it 4 reserves idk) reserves is fine. If one or more doesn't show up then its their prob. And the thing you can do for yourself after that is to not take this guy into account anymore in the next war because he probably doesn't care enough. So make sure by your own that you pick guys on which you can count. And if there happen IRL thingys then I think it wont happen on more then 2 guys at the same time so you still got a team of 5 to play. And also you could put solo guys in the reserve list which can play for any team if a team is in need.
