I'm surprised this topic hasn't been created before. I'm sure there's alot of nD'ers watching this great show. I just finished watching season one and I'm really looking forward to the second season. HBO has come with another great TV show basically.

But how far have you guys made it and what are your thoughts about the show?

Please keep in mind to avoid spoiling things about the show, if you do so put it in a spoiler!

I love the show, can't wait for the new episode tomorrow! Also they could leave the sex parts away.. imo it doesn't fit in a medieval themed series.

All I've heard is that the books are really hard to go through.

I read four first books and I am waiting to read A Dance of Dragons and I began to see the series after I completed A Feast of Crows. The first season seems to follow the main story of the book, but I am disappointed with the second season which has many secondary stories and does not follow the second book as good as they did with the first one. Hope they make a good third season.

yep i was thinking the same , the first season was almost word for word from the book , the second season seems to be adding new plots and missing key people , i cant belive that Meera and Jojen Reed have not yet been shown at winterfell helping bran and rickon , i presume they will join the show at some point but they must be going in a totally different direction from the books , same as the "house of the undieing" and the missing dragons , gods knows what plot they are going with here , but i think the end story line will end up the same

All I've heard is that the books are really hard to go through.
yeah they are hard to get into reading , i dont read many books so i found it hard at first , i re-watched season 1 while reading the first book , red a few chaptors then watched an episode after doing that a few times i was hooked , the books are worth the effect as they are very good

It is supposed that when Bolton people burn Winterfell, Bran and Rickon are separated. Osha takes care of Rickon and Jojen Reed, Meera Reed and Hodor go with Bran.
I bet that both brothers will leave the same way and they will not be separated.

This.
Even if it won't end up in the series, it's still a spoiler for those wanting to read the books.

Sorry, even tho I love the series, I'm not a damn hipster that suddenly wants to read the books just because everyone else has read them (no offense).

you realise that hipsters are supposed to hate what the majority likes and therefore not read/watch them?
so you actually ARE a damn hipster in this case..
