K!ng Joined: Tue Sep 22, 2009 12:00 am Has thanked: 0 time Been thanked: 0 time	#1 RECORD SCRIPT [ NOT SUPPORTED ] I noticed that this Record-script I made is the most popular one in the entire Counter-Strike:1.6 community (based on stats from GameBanana) and therefore I decided to give the script a little update, support it and help those who are interested. You can download the updated script here: Download the Record-script. Update October 2013 Removed SteamBans support ('sb_status'). [ SteamBans ceased to exist ] Added automatic screenshot of the score list at the end of the demo. [ The screenshot will be saved in your 'cstrike-folder' ] Instructions Install Spoiler: show If Counter-Strike is opened, close it now before proceeding. Download the file 'Record.cfg'. Place this file ('Record.cfg') in your cstrike-folder (the same folder where your 'config.cfg' is located). Open your config by opening the file 'config.cfg' which is also located in your cstrike-folder (you can open this file with Notepad). Go to the end/bottom of this file and write on a new, white line "exec Record.cfg" (without the " " of course). This command executes the Record-script. Open Counter-Strike and open your console (don't start a game). Check if you see the message that the Record-script is successfully loaded. If you see the message it means that the Record-script is loaded and ready to use anytime you play Counter-Strike. If you don't see the message it means that something went wrong during the installation of the script. Check the following: Is the name of the Record-script "Record.cfg"? Did you placed the Record-script in the right folder? Did you add the command "exec Record.cfg" to your config? Did you restart Counter-Strike? If it still won't see the message in your console and the script still doesn't work, please contact me: I will help you installing the script. Use Spoiler: show Follow the person you want to record in 'first-person view' (as if it was you who are playing). Press '[ DELETE ]' to start recording a demo. You will the message "record:" in the top-left corner of your screen. Type a name for the demo (preferable the player's name who you are recording) and press '[ ENTER ]'. You started recording the demo now. While recording: Do not switch view or player you are viewing. Stay in the first-person view of the player you want to record until you stop recording and the demo is finished. You can add as many 'status' to the demo as you like by hitting '[ ENTER ]'. The demo won't be interrupted by this. The Record-script will also automatically add a 'status' at the end of the demo. Gather enough and clear evidence of the use of cheats so that the admin of the server can ban the player. If you have gathered enough evidence and you want to stop recording, press '[ DELETE ]' again. The Record-script will automatically make a screenshot of the score list and add a 'status' to the demo. You will see the message "Completed demo" in the top-left corner of your screen. This means you successfully recorded a demo. You can find the demo and the screenshot in your 'cstrike-folder'. After recording (and playing Counter-Strike): Go the forum or website of the community/server on which you caught the cheating player. Make a new post in the appropriate section/subforum and upload the demo and screenshot (the screenshot is optional) you made. Report the name of the player, the SteamID of the player, the server in which you made the demo and the cheat(s) you suspect that player used in the demo. Submit the post and wait for actions taken by the admin. If you have questions regarding submitting demo's to neonDragon or cheaters in the servers of neonDragon, please contact an admin of neonDragon. Good luck making demo's! But good job, seriously! Well writen, I'd say a sticky to this. as it explains alot, and help out pretty much. Anyway, appritate the efford taken to this so good job K!ng! EDIT: Btw, are the bindings changeable? if yes, then I can probably make it myself EDIT2: Nvm, checked the file, changed it thanks for the script though _________________
