Need an advice about linked PC setup

Post by Silence »

Hello boys and queen,

I am gonna buy a new PC and since I am a hardware amateur (literally no clue how to build a PC) I'd like your opinion about this set:

Motherboard - Asus PRIME B450M-A/AMD B450/SATA3/M.2/USB3.1/PCIe3.0/AM4/mATX
Processor - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 S-AM4 3.60/4.20GHz BOX
RAM - GOODRAM DDR4 IRDM X 16GB 2666 16-18-18
Graphics - GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6
Hard Disk - Adata Disk SSD XPG SX6000 Lite 512G PCIe 3x4 1800/1200 MB/s M.2
Music card - Realtek ALC887
Network - integrated (WIFI PCI-Ex1)
Power supply - Power Black 650Watt 80+

What do I expect from that PC? I'd like to play games with high FPS on high settings for next 4/5 years without a need to change my hardware.
I don't need ultra 4000 fps, but at the same time I don't want to worry about my PC efficiency.

How do you rate this set up? It is already prepared / ready to buy from a retail seller and the price is legit. Does everything suit up here?

Kind Regards,
Simon

Hello, I would firstly like to know what you budget is. The PC build of yours is not the most efficient one due to ram and no SSD.

The current setup is good for the most games for medium settings with 120fps/hz. For high settings you would be able to get 40-55fps. The build is also future proof for 2-4 years.

My second question for you is what kind of games do you play?

Edit; not the best SSD
Yours sincerely, Lucius

Im not a tech pro or anything like that either but the gpu will bottleneck the cpu by a small amount.

That is right sir!
Bottleneck around 16% as the graphic card is too weak

Aight

I would go for a Ryzen 5 3600X for the bettter clocking speeds. (Use the standard cooler, add a good thermal paste. Do not buy conductive thermal paste if you dont know what youre doing)
A GTX 2060 Super due to better fps in games in general and more efficient. (Always go for nividia cards, thats because they always keep up to date their software and its more user firendly)
A minimum of 3200MHZ Ram with XMP profile enabled in the Bios or buying 3600Mhz from factory, you might ask why and the simple answer is that ryzen works much better with faster ram.
I would go for a X470 MSI Motherboard, it includes everything you need for it to run as good as possible for the processor. You dont need to buy a "music card", this motherboard includes sound enhancement.
A samsung SSD EVO due to the best read/write speeds.
A WD Red or WD Black HHD for storage.
Lastly a good 650W Powersupply with atleast Gold+ Rating.
Network card would be needed if you are going to use WIFI which i do not recommend.
The Chassis should be big enough to have a good airflow through.

With a 144hz monitor toppingt that PC, then you would be good for atleast 5 years i would say. Probably more.
Yours sincerely, Lucius

Good config
But about pross if like lucies saif r5 3600x its the best
And for ram u should get 2x of 8gb ram 2666 or 3200
(3200 iz the good but if its over like what i have get the 2666)
Btw ryzen to see the full performance u should have 2 rams
Nothing bad on it and u can add hdd 1to in place of ssd or have both or if that ssd 500g is enough then have it
That all what i have to say ;))
U have ask more

Ey yo silence, i myself do have RTX 2060 and ryzen 5 2600x. Now heres what i recommend, Ryzen cpus need good rams. if you pair them with a shit pair of ram, forgot the potential. Pair them with XMP compatible 16 gbs 3200 Mhz rams. 2 channel/2 way channel so 2 sticks of 8 gbs. Now onto the cpu yours is the newer edition of mine, but not overclockable, id strongly suggest you reconsider that and possibly buy Ryzen 7 2800x. Better cores, Better speed and better threads.
Music card..? you dont need one im sure. network, id suggest you get a Mother board with Wifi included, saves a lot of money. Good choice on the SSD, however id rather replace that with a M.2K SSD. quicker read time. 500gbs should last you a year, then u can add on later, Currently csgo i run 500fps, cs Pff 1k+ Rust .. Well rust is a hard game to run no matter what. I get an average of 60-100. Power supply, id either get silver/gold. Last longer and is very efficient, bronze is meh 600W is all you need, however 650W is good if u get the overclockable cpu

On a side note, you need to invest in a liquid coolor, try artic Liquid coolor. Trust me.. BIG difference You also need to have a good monitor, 1MS response time and 144hz. Important
