#1 Post[Accepted] WarDog's Zombie Escape Application
Hello everyone!

- Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:17503536
- NickName: WARDOG
- Age: 22
- Gender: Male
- Experience Level (including any previous admin work): Ah, through out my years I have been part of several communities across all the games I have played sofar.
I'll make a short list to give a clear overview, these are not in chronological order.
- Squad leader/officer in the Chimera outfit on Planetside 2.
- Trusted member/moderator on ARK Servers where me & my friends played on.
- Moderator on the minecraft server(way back in alpha) that was owned by the clan.
- CS:S Drill sergeant of the clan.
- Trustee on Gmod RP server.
This is just a short list of the ones I can come up with for now, seeing I have been playing games for over 10 years I have a feeling I probably forgot to mention several other things which can be seen as experience but personally I would say these are the most valid & important ones.
- Average amount of time on our servers per day: Very depending on the day, I would honestly describe myself as a daily player.(With some "off" days when I try out a new game, for example; Recently when Middle Earth Shadow of War was released I wasn't online for a day or two because I was marathoning that game.)
On week days I'm online for a good 2 to 4 hours a day.
Weekends are my "Game days", hours can go anywhere from 3 to 10 hours per day.
- Approximately, when did you start playing on our servers? Aaah, Brain don't fail me now, I'm not entirely sure on the exact date. I would say somewhere in August.
- After answering these questions, please provide a brief introduction of your life (hobbies, studies etc.) as well as your motivation for helping to moderate our servers.
Aah, now the hardest part. Right!
Well, as I have said,
Hello everyone!
I go by the nickname of WarDog,
I'm a specialised car mechanic at a local Jaguar/ Land Rover dealership over here in the country of waffles and chocolate.... That's right! Belgium! :D
I have been playing games for as long as I can remember, what started out as silly browser games after school or during lunch break as a kid eventually evolved into marathoning all kinds of genres, going from FPS, to MMORPGs to RTS & TBS games, both triple A titles & the small indie games.
Beside games I would class myself as a 'car enthusiast'(Car meets, Track days, etc) and I also have a passion for music(ranging from just listening to music to frequent visits to concerts & the annual music festivals over here).

My motivation for helping to moderate is quite simple, 'give and you shall receive'. I really like contributing to the community. Be it enforcing the rules, or just helping the 'newbies' get used to the game/zombie escape, etc... I get enjoyment in helping others. I see it as building something great, together. I think I have the right mindset for the position, a good mixture between light mood & joyful attitude but also serious and mature when needed.

Things that I need to work on:
Nobody is perfect right? I know there are some 'work points' where I'm lacking or/and need to improve.
- Forums: As I have said in my introduction on here, I'm not a big forum user, most of my communication has always been through voice(teamspeak, ventrilo, mumble but now mostly discord). Hence my 'age' and activity on here is still recent & low.
- Time on server: I know compared to others I'm still a "newb" on here, based on when I joined the server. But I would like to think that what I lack in months I make up with in-game time. As time goes by both will steadily increase.

Kind Regards
WARDOG

Hello!

I appreciate your input on my application. And yes you make very good points.
As I have mentioned in my original post; I'm still new to this forum and forums in general. Most of my focus has been on in-game communication and through steam/discord. However, as I said, it's something I realise & will continue to work on :)

Hello there, ananas.

This is not the place to make a presentation, this is an application thread.

If you want to make a presentation of yourself, you can create a new topic here: https://www.neondragon.net/viewforum.php?f=5

If you wish to give some feedback to Wardog, you can find the right format in this post: https://www.neondragon.net/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=28665

Hey WarDog!

I don't play the Zombie Escape server but the feeling I get from your application, which is well-written, is that you are an energetic and funny person. The last time i visited the server, it seemed like it needed alot of moderation so your activity would be useful. Being active on forums is important but don't worry too much about it. Basically, participate in discussions, give suggestions, talk to regulars on the chatbox if you want, etc. The most important thing is to moderate and help out in the server, that's the main thinG (thanks Point for the corretion) you should be focusing on.

Keep working and goodluck! :P

Hello wardog, i see you've made an application as well!

Pros:
- Is active on the server
- Is very friendly
- Normally helps noobs and guides them
- Normally he contacts me whenever there is a mic spammer or someone annoying the people on the server
- Really cares about the server
- He seems to have experience on being a mod/admin
- Is active on the ZE subforum section

Cons:
- None that I can think of

My vote is YES, he is very active on the server and cares about it, and is really friendly to everyone. I've been playing with him for quite a long time already and he'd be a great mod in my opinion honestly, as well as he's got experience on other communities.

I highly disagree with you. nD CS:GO members don't really need to be very active on the Forums as most of the CS:GO members don't really post on the forums, plus he IS active on the ZE section.
