The Aim Ladder

So, I’ve been wanting to add this for a while as we do have quite a few ”active” players on the aim server. This will be an attempt to boost and promote the server a bit as well as a small addition to the ”Aim Event”. This model is based on 1 vs 1.

Look spoiler ->
Spoiler: show
Leaderboard 1v1
1. Player x
2. Player x
3. Player x
4. Player x
5. Player x

10. Player x

Explanation:

This is a very simple system, but it requires a bit of preparation to get it going. Once the top 20 is established it will be quite fast and straightforward. To start with my idea is to take the current /top15 on the server to make out the starting top 15 now -> Open to ideas and suggestions.

The initial plan was to give some of the top player some sort of reward each month or two, and then the ranks “reset” again. Discuss

How to rank up?

Let’s say you are rank 11; for you to rank up you simply have to challenge a player that has a better rank thank you. Let’s say you challenge rank 7 and win, you will then move one rank up (to 10) and the player you won against will lose one rank (to rank 8).

So you can only climb up one rank at the time, or lose one rank at the time for that matter, depending on win/loss.

I believe this could be good fun as it would be like a mini aim event that is continuously on-going, in addition to the somewhat boring /rank system.

This is just a rough idea, ideas and suggestions are much appreciated. Would like a tech admin to look at this as well to see if maybe a rank/challenging plugin could be coded/added in the future?

Hi,

that's a good idea. But how can you challenge someone ?

Would have to create a "challenge thread" and have a few volunteers to handle it along with spectating matches.

Great idea, might need to add some incentive for higher ranks to actually accept challenges tho. They don't rank up if they win against a lower rank right? That means they have no reason to accept any challenges from them. Maybe make it so you can wager money on these challenges so there's an actual incentive for higher ranks to take part in them.

That would be a good addition. However, the way I have played this before is that you have to accept the challenge but only from the players that have max 5 ranks under you. So people with rank 30 can't challenge a player with rank 20. However, you only need to accept a challenge from the same player once.

Great idea zaptor and very creative.

I played one time on a cs 1.6 aim server where they almost had the same system as u describe. Every month the /top15 got a reset and the top3 players in the top15 would get free VIP and the the guy on rank 1 super VIP. I think its a nice idea to give the rank 1 a big prize like 1 month VIP or maybe some cash or something.

Anyways I hope an admin can check on this and improve the aim server with this new plugin.
