Lol we had one too. I signed up for the chess course with almost no knowledge, and found out quickly that everyone was good. We had to play tournaments, and here I was, barely knowing the rules and what I'm doing. So I just focused on making no rule mistakes and getting beaten quickly so it's over.
I've been playing chess for 12 years, and yet I have much to learn, of course i don't spend 10 hours per day, but probably 1-3 hours per day.

Yeah I know, chess is just so huge, I never really had the motivation to dive into that.

i had a friend in class that played chess. he actually thought me a bit about chess but i cant remember anything
