Signup thread for the (hopefully not) final Mafia game. Roles will be pretty simple; I will post them later (wasn't expecting the post to be made so quickly).

Game Type: OPEN
Modkills: Host discretion. Examples: Quoting host, using codes or delayed messages, not playing to win, not posting for two rounds.
Private Chat: Allowed and encouraged.
Action Timestamp: Host Appearance (I may specify an exact ending time if I know I will be unable to post near the posted ending time)
Voting Type: Timed Lynch (48 hour speedplay)
Tie Breaker: LHLV
Ghost Etiquette: RP Play Style
Game Start: Hospitalization
Death Reveal: Role Reveal (Until Priest Dies)

Order of Actions: Daykill -> Lynch -> Roleblock -> Redirect -> Protection -> Kills -> Peeks

Roleset (25 Players - 5 Mafia, 2 Evil Villager, 2 Neutral, 5 PR, 11 Vanilla):

Mafia (Wins if the Serial Killer is dead and Parity is reached):
Don - Able to peek a player each round to discover their exact role, including secondary roles.
Day/Night Hitman - Able to perform a second kill in addition to the standard Mafia kill once per game. May instead choose to post a kill publicly EACH ROUND if desired (like the Day Vigilante).
Consort - Able to roleblock a player each round, preventing them from using any powers.
Trainee - Able to clone the role (including secondary roles) of a chosen Mafia, either living or dead. If selecting a living Mafia, becomes a Goon if the chosen Mafia dies.
Brutal Pathologist - Learns the roles of all dead players while alive. Upon death, can kill a chosen player.

Evil Villagers (Doesn't count for Parity on either side, and doesn't start the game knowing who the mafia are):
Gunslinger - Wins with the Mafia and can shoot one player during the game.
Traitor - Wins with either the Mafia or the Serial Killer. If targeted by either for a kill, the kill will fail and the killer will be told the Traitor's role.

Neutral:
Bulletproof Vengeful Serial Killer - Wins if Parity is reached. Can kill a player each round and is immune to nightkills himself. If targeted with a non-lynch kill, retaliates against the killer.
Enhanced Survivor - Wins if alive at the end of the game. Automatically causes Serial Killer to lose if game ends while alive. Vote counts as two. Able to peek each round for Serial Killer/Not Serial Killer, and able to roleblock a player each round.

Village (Wins if the Serial Killer and all Mafia are dead):
Doctor - Able to protect one player from all nightkills each round.
Escort - Able to roleblock a player each round.
Deputy - Able to peek a player each round to discover if they are a part of the mafia.
Soothsayer Priest - Upon death, roles are no longer revealed on death (this power is immune to roleblocks). Vote counts as double.
Day Vigilante - Able to post in the thread each round (if desired) with the name of a player to kill. That player will be instantly killed, but their role will not be posted until the end of the round.
11x Villager - No powers beyond voting (and maybe secondary powers).

Secondary Roles (Secretly given to random players of the indicated faction - a player may only have one max):
Tough Mafia - Survives one death.
Brutal Evil Villager - Able to kill a player when killed.
3x Tough Vanillagers (non-PR) - Tough players will survive any one death, including lynch.
Tough Villager PR - Tough players will survive any one death, including lynch.
Deathmiller Cursed Vanillager - If targeted by the Mafia nightkill (not Hitman or Brutal), joins the Mafia as a Goon (with no powers). Even if not targeted, revealed as a Mafia Goon on death.
Determined Villager PR - Determined players ignore roleblocks and redirects. Cannot be given to the Escort (or Priest).
2x Tinker - If peeked by the Deputy or Survivor, the peek will be inverted. (Mafia will be seen as innocent and non-mafia will be seen as guilty)
Officer Vanillager - If the Deputy dies, the Officer becomes a Deputy.


Additional Mechanics (new players can probably ignore these):

Roleblocked players will lose access to ALL aspects of their role while roleblocked. If the Serial Killer is roleblocked, he will cease to be Bulletproof and Vengeful until the roleblock expires.

Roleblocks last for one round after being applied. This means that if the Day Vigilante is roleblocked, he will be unable to execute his day kill the following Day. It also means that if a Tough player is roleblocked, they will be vulnerable to the Day Vigilante the following Day.

Roleblocked players will not be told they were roleblocked unless they failed to use an action (note: things like 'Vengeful' count as attempts to use an action) the Determined PR will thus never be told if he was roleblocked.

Kills targeting a player who does not die will not generate public events. Only the killer and target will know that the kill happened. The target will know the type of prevention (protection > bulletproof > tough).

Brutal players will have one round to submit a kill after they die. If they fail to submit a kill, they lose their power. Brutal kills happen as if they were normal kills during the round after the player's death.

If his role is posted on death, the Trainee will be seen as whatever his current role is. He will only be seen as Trainee if he has not copied any other Mafia player.

Successful kills the round that the Survivor dies will still generate role reveals.

Secondary roles are handed out randomly, and a player will not know if they have one. Any roles revealed on death will include any secondary roles the player has.[/list]

I find it all very sad. All I can hope for is that enough people sign up and will stay after this game is over.

I liked neonDragon a lot when I first started but something changed when WW was added to it. It was nicer, funnier. I made a lot of friends that joined due to WW. It will be a great loss to see it being shot down, so I genuinely hope it will not happen!!

Since we're already up to 9 players, I have posted the standard P9 roleset for our use this game. This will be updated and altered if/when more players join.

Current Roleset: P9 Standard Roleset
2 Brutal Goons
1 Deputy
1 Brutal Hunter
Rule: All roles posted on death.

Twelve? Not bad. I have updated the roleset and posted initial rules. The only particularly notable exception to standard rules is the 24 hour speedplay. This rule is not final, but I am strongly considering it as I think it would help keep the game feeling fast paced and keep the players active and interested. If you would like to voice your opinion on this, PM me or catch me on Steam/TS.

As far as a start date, I am leaning towards a Monday start. I may choose to delay until Wednesday depending on my personal schedule.

Modified P11 Standard Roleset (for 12 Players):
2 Goons
1 Brutal Don
1 Deputy
1 Doctor
1 Brutal Hunter
Rule: All roles posted on death.
