#1 Post neonDragon USA
Today we launched neonDragon USA. What is this? Well, we're running copies of all our CS servers on a machine in North America.

198.245.49.106:27022 Zombie Plague Nonsteam 1000FPS
198.245.49.106:27018 surf_ski_2 24/7 Nonsteam
198.245.49.106:27016 Speedrun NonSteam 1000FPS
198.245.49.106:27020 Roadrage-Fun Nonsteam
198.245.49.106:27015 JailBreak [Achievements]
198.245.49.106:27017 Assault 24/7 Nonsteam 1000FPS

I'm sure everyone is wondering why, considering that most of us live in Europe. Well, I won usage of a server in North America for one month and I couldn't think of anything else to do with it...

But then, instead of asking 'Why?', ask: 'Why not?' :P

I can ping cs3.neondragon.net (europe) in 8ms, and cs4.neondragon.net (North America) in 82ms. That's pretty amazing considering it's on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.

Ideally, we'd have players that played on both servers, and then when the European servers get empty at night you can connect over to the North American servers where it's still daytime.

However, probably no-one is going to play on them :P

Honestly I think this is not too dumb, you'll be able to have more variation and collect new people. We already have Hanyuu, eh? :D

Also Americans tend to socialise more than Europeans simply because they can speak proper English so they mic-chat a lot.

@Neon

You live in the UK, one of the best places to ping to USA from Europe or vice-versa. American people connect to my UK server on ESF with 90 pings, the very lucky ones with 70. 217.163.27.151:27015 ESF 1.2.3 <London>

(I don't see this as advertising as I highly doubt anyone plays ESF here, it's incase someone wants to ping it)

Where exactly in US? Being in NY, the ping isn't bad and there really isn't too much of a difference in game play. I normally average in the 90s

Though just be aware that particular American players have huge egos <- one reason why I lost interest in playing in American servers

LOL x'D North America =/= NY/NJ (east coast, yes)

North America = US + Canada as well as a few other countries like Mexico, etc.

Just to mention; the servers are completely linked. At least on Jailbreak, meaning; you have the same playtime, same cash, same items and I was still VIP on it. If you earn/lose something on one server, same happens on the other.

So don't go around gambling on the other JB server and think you won't lose cash on the original, I tested it to make sure. If you do something on one server the other registers it immediately. Which adds the opportunity to go on the American one at late nights attracting Americans since our late nights are their play time.

Now so far as I understand, this will only be up for a month right?

So all the stats you make there will by copied to Europe?

Example; I make 10k JBcash and Disconnect, later i join European server and still have it?

jbcash should be seperate.

So, if you want to go and gamble there it shouldn't affect the European jail server. Unless I've done something wrong...
