Suggesting /invis option on deathrun server in specific.



Usually, when I join nD Deathrun, on some maps I get some fps drops, for example, deathrun_barbie_csbr , deathrun_hybrid2_v2 , deathrun_minecraft_final , deathrun_army , deathrun_poolday ,deathrun_wipeout , deathrun_countryside_final. I've known /invis (invisible) option from other deathrun servers, if you don't know what /invis does, well I'm here to explain:

When you go on the server there's a command called /flashlights, that disables everyone's flashlight (just for you) to avoid having lags, in my opinion I don't think it really works that well since it only applies to flashlights and not players/water.

/Invis, in this case can disable (make them invisible) your teammates (only works for ct cause t's need to see ct's for obvious reasons) also, when you'll type /invis a small box can appear on the left side of your screen with 2 options: Disable Cts [OFF] / Disable Water [OFF]. It has been said that it can help increasing FPS if you have drops on certain maps, since some maps contain water and are big (deathrun_minecraft_final or deathrun_poison)

Pros:
• Smoother gameplay.
• Decreasing FPS drops.
• Less player confusion and makes it easier to focus.
• Transparency doesn't work for some of the skins/models. (plastic bag)

Cons:
• Can't think of any.

Overall I think it's a very nice feature for deathrun since the playerbase has grown, playing with /invis would be much better for playerbase (and me ofc!!)

Good idea,I also play in another Deathrun server (Clarion) and they have a similar command which improves the gameplay and boosts the FPS by a lil for the ones with potato PC's.

Can some of the people voting no explain their reason to do so? Curious to see why anyone would vote against this.

/invis is like if you're CT you can turn your team-mates invisible not the T,the T stays visible still.

As I mentioned, /Invis, in this case can disable (make them invisible) your teammates (only works for ct cause t's need to see ct's for obvious reasons) and as Kris mentioned, T's still stay visible to the ct's // T's can see Ct's with /invis on.

But there will still be lag if they can see the other team.

yup a nice idea, idk where but i have seen someone suggested this idea before and it was declined because the plugin could make problem/s such as T inability to see the CT well i searched about this topic but i didn't find it... anyway i hope they can bring such a plugin, listening to music without seeing anyone might improve the gameplay hehe.

Don't even try having a conversation with him crity, hes just fucking around, he understands it but just wants to waste your time.
Great idea, I tend to get annoyed by seeing all the people in DR even though I can walk through em, there's just too many.
