Sounds like a rather interesting game, Numble. I'm [in].

@Rainboy: Mind explaining your desire for public shadow votes a bit more? It may give the village more information to use eventually, but I see it almost certainly favoring the mafia in early-mid game. And assuming a competent mafia team, would they really be as stupid to mass-control the shadow lynch?

At the moment, I'll throw a [vote Cerdric] and refrain from a shadow vote until later in the round.

Code:
R1 Lynch Tally:
Shadi - 1 - MMage
SweedyGonzales - 1 - Cruxell
Cruxell - 3 - Shadi, SweedyGonzales, Karn
Lawliet - 1 - Patrick
WaywardVole - 2 - Lawliet, Rainboy
Karn - 2 - Voropoulo, Dee Dee
Cerdric - 1 - WaywardVole
No Vote - 5 -  Dangan, Styx, Larah, Six, Cerdric

In response to the shadow lynch discussion, my misgivings are with the accuracy of the self-reporting vs. reveals of voting record upon deaths and how we handle that information. Specifically, when shadow lynch votes are revealed, it seems that we will only be privy to who voted for that person, not how many times - the latter of which would provide far more information than the former.

In short, I can agree with the shadow vote being made public as long as we follow Cedric's idea of restraint and give those who may be suspicious a fair chance to explain and not rely blindly on the numbers.

As for everything else, it's R1. No one is inherently suspicious and while they would normally press my for a no lynch, I, like most people, favor self-preservation. [vote Cruxell]

Code:
R1 Lynch Tally:
Dangan - 1 - MMage
Cruxell - 4 - SweedyGonzales, Karn, Cerdric, WaywardVole
Lawliet - 1 - Patrick
WaywardVole - 4 - Lawliet, Rainboy, Cruxell, Six
Karn - 2 - Voropoulo, Dee Dee
Styx - 2 - Dangan, Shadi
No Vote - 2 - Styx, Larah

Having been late to reading all of the posts this round and with the overwhelming majority votes gong to Cruxell, I'm going to [abstain] for this round. I'm aware it is not traditionally a smart thing to do this far in, but it unsettles me a bit that if Cruxell is mafia, there is no attempt to swing the vote another direction by his teammates. Perhaps they're not organized or are throwing him to the wolves (so to speak) but there's enough doubt that I cannot add to the vote.

Code:
R2 Lynch Tally:
SweedyGonzales - 1 - Cruxell
Cruxell - 5 - Cerdric, Lawliet, Patrick, Styx, Six
No Lynch - 1 - WaywardVole
No Vote - 9- Dee Dee, Dangan, Larah, MMage, SweedyGonzales, Shadi, Voropoulo

As for shadowvote, I respect the arguments for Dangan, I want to wait and see what information Cruxell's lynch gets us. Thus I'll throw a [Shadowvote MMage] for general inactivity. Not a perfect solution, but it's among the least risk I can do until we get more information.

Code:
R2 Claimed Shadowvote Tally:
SiX - 1+0
Dangan - 2+2 - Styx, Six
Larah - 1+0
SweedyGonzales - 1+1 - Patrick
Styx - 2+1 - Cerdric
Patrick - 1+0
WaywardVole - 1+0
MMage - 1 - WaywardVole
Self (No Vote) - 11 - SweedyGonzales, Shadi, MMage, Larah, Dangan, Lawliet, Dee Dee, Larah, WaywardVole, SweedyGonzales
Unaccounted / Unclaimed: 5

Stealth Edit: I also agree with Cerdric's point above, though I would add, even if a public claim can't be made (though Detective should strongly consider doing so,) at least start using your peeks wisely and form a network that can work in the public chat. With over half the game seemingly afk, we need more information.

Welp, due to a lot of hesitation I feel like I ruined a lot as well. I was peeked and contacted but due to uncertainty with Cerdric I couldn't tell how pro-village it would be to come out and say it with the mafia shadowlynching and me not being able to legitimise the claims in one round. If a lot of good players would be left(that I'm aware of), I could count on them doing the rest of the math but I've been gone far too long to know who's competent or not. I apologise for my poor gameplay.

@Cerdric the last couple of games I have played here I experienced similar. Ever since then I have been aloof when it comes to these games, if I join with little expectations it's a lot more relaxing to play. Although frustration is not non-existent when activity is low. Sorry for your poor experience.

Well, that round was a bust. @Shadi - while I can understand the hesitation, saying anything to possibly halt the mass-bandwagon on Cruxell would have been helpful. At least it would have forced a rethink among the few active players and may have led to a different lynch.

@Werty - I'm curious to hear your reasons for voting Styx. Mind posting them here (or PMing me directly, if you'd rather)? There's still a (slim) chance we may pull this out and I want to do what I can to make sure it happens.

____

As for the general inactivity, I, too, am sad to see this trend continue and have it affect games as much as it has. Perhaps implementing a mandatory 1/2 posts per round may help that (though content might still suffer)? These games are quite fun and I'd hate to see interesting players leave from frustration.

It's close to rounds end, so I'll be brief:

@Lawliet - You've been striking my suspicious for a few rounds now. You've consistently voted the bandwagon and your recent claim as statistician plus request for PM'd shadowvotes could be legitimately a reaction from the events of last round, or a mafia keeping low in the beginning and taking advantage of the chaos now. If Styx is lynched (or I end up dead) that will hopefully confirm either.

But while there is doubt as to your loyalties, Voropoulo's actions seem even more suspect - why vote Patrick? [vote Voropoulo].

Code:
R3 Lynch Tally:
Styx - 3 - Lawliet, Wertydoo, Patrick
Voropoulo - 2 - Styx, WaywardVole
Shadi - 1 - Larah
Patrick - 1 - Voropoulo
No Vote - 5 -  Six, SweedyGonzales, Larah, MMage

Edit: Nope. (See my next post).

After some much-needed discussion (and a diminished panic when I realized there was more time until round's end,) I retract my earlier claims on Lawliet and Voro. Long and short of it - the village still has a chance in this game and I don't want to see it blown. Trusting other townspeople is part of that, therefore, [vote Styx].

Code:
R3 Lynch Tally:
Styx - 4 - Lawliet, Wertydoo, Patrick, WaywardVole
Voropoulo - 1 - Styx
Shadi - 1 - Larah
Patrick - 1 - Voropoulo
No Vote - 3 -  Six, SweedyGonzales, MMage

Well I didn't except that coming. I guess our chances to win are like 5-10%. Anyways, now that styx confirmed as mafia i do believe that Patrick and WaywardVole are mafia too. So this round I'll go for them unless someone has something to say.

Care to explain how you came to this conclusion? I admit my misstep in accusing Lawliet R3, but Patrick has been nothing but active town this entire game. And even if you do suspect us, you have the word of a confirmed village PR (RIP Lawliet) of Sweedy's guilt, but rather than work with the two people actively trying to kill him, you choose to accuse us instead?

...Unless by "our chances" being the mafia. Then you make perfect sense.

But as much as I would like to lynch you, Patrick has been an asset to the village this game and thus I trust him. MMage, while you may or may not be mafia, it's not the end of the village if you die either way. [vote MMage]

Code:
MMage - 2 - Patrick, WaywardVole
No Vote - 4 – MMage, SweedyGonzales, Voropoulo, Larah

Nice job everyone, but particularly Lawliet and Patrick - you guys definitely led us to this win.

And thanks Numble for hosting an interesting game, can't wait to play in your next one.
