why are signups closed, i thought you could join for 3 rounds

I closed signups so we could [start]. If you want to be added to the game, post, and I'll use the [add] command.

Those commands are separate for a reason. Though mostly untested, GERTY should allow them to be used individually.

[start] implies [signups closed] and [dawn] implies [start], but you could easily use [signups open] after [start] to reset it.

Basic logic pseudocode:
Code:
Start:
If signups are open, run [signups closed] command.
Mark the game as having started.

Code:
Dawn:
If the game hasn't started yet, run [start] command.
Mark the current phase as day.
Increment the round counter.

So it is completely fine to say [signups open] at any time after you say [start] or [dawn], and subsequent uses of [dawn] will not close them.

Well, my options in the face of a first vote are to retaliate or pass on a vote to someone who seems inactive. I think the latter is more likely to serve our purposes.

My vote will change when you vote someone, and that someone isn't me.

Edited for clarity.

Well, I'm not interested in this. Everyone has voted, which changes the dynamic a bit. Quite an interesting game indeed.

Might not be here much in the next 24 hours. If you need me, catch me around 3:30PM or around 6PM EST.

Placeholder since I don't have my PM yet. May revise tomorrow if I get a chance to analyze the game further.

There seems to be a pretty easy way to verify this.

One of the flaws of this setup is that drain is the default "wolves should basically always use this, except in a few particular situations" skill. This means that the village can expect each wolf to use the ability each round, as a general rule.

cml and Lawliet have both claimed to be drained. This is quite consistent with what I would expect of the game, so far. Nothing seems particularly out of place. That said, if you are not cml or Lawliet, and you were drained last round, you have some pretty dang good proof that one of the two (most likely cml, since he is the defendant in this case) is wolf.

Also, not as interested in the cml lynch yet. Let's see how this plays out for one more round. Anyone else have any snoop info to offer? I didn't snoop last round.

Per their posts, one of the three (cml, Lawliet, Xen) is likely to be wolf. Of the three, cml was the only one who was forced to disclose his action defensively (both of the others offered the information willingly in an offensive way). The snoop also lines up with a powerful wolf play which is very plausible (I should know, I got slapped with the unholy retribution).

Therefore, I will be voting and bandwagoning cml. He'll have a round to explain himself and offer an alternative target.
